When good spells go bad

Performing spells is all about intent, energy, personal interest and need. Spells don't always go exactly how you want them to or how you think they will. I'm sure you've heard that bell rung time and time again, right? Ya know, perform a spell for money and then your favorite aunt dies. How willing are you to trade a loved one's life for paying the rent?

I recently cast a spell with good intent. A protection spell for a friend and her daughter against an abusive boyfriend/father. Perhaps my feelings for him tainted the spell. Perhaps the universe sensed my loathing and acted accordingly, but subsequently he ended up in a coma. I'm not blaming myself by any means as it was a druf overdose that put him there. Maybe I would have felt bad if I had caused a car accident or some such thing, but it seems that the universe was perfectly in sync with his own idiocy. Still, this is a warning to all would-be good-doers out there. Specify "with harm to none" if that is your intent. Unless you're hoping for a coma. But for those of you who aren't, who only want to do good without hurting someone else, make sure you specify.

Overall, I'm hoping that the situation turns out for the best. Perhaps the Universe decided that the best way to protect a woman and her innocent child was to eliminate the threat completely. Certainly that's the only way that she would ever be able to get away from him. I am completely confident that if he does somehow manage to come out of the coma that she will go directly back to him and continue to put herself and her daughter in danger. Still, i've learned my lesson. Good intent can cause bad things if you're not careful.

Maybe it was just a coincidence. Or, maybe it was just a coincidence that he deserved it.
